Anjos Fernandes
Anjos Fernandes is a force of nature: Sensitive like a delicate flower, yet rugged as granitic rock, vibrant like a wild wind, and tumultuous like a mountain river searching for the calming immensity of the sea.
He is a cursed poet who cultivates coarse language, can be quite offensive, words spring out of him like barbed wire, like avenging swords; at times he expresses himself like D. Quixote, at other times like the poet Bocage. He is an iconoclast by devotion, agent provocateur by profession, and does not spare anyone his barbarian verve. His limitations are limitless.
He has an unusual personality, cultivates an art not bound by academic standards and bereft of canons or social rules. He is a poet by chance who makes use of painting brushes, colours and canvasses as raw materials for his creative delirium with which he puts together a pictorial universe rich in contrasts, vaguely figurative, woven by the throbbing of his thoughts and feelings.
